Booking Guidelines: What’s Not Allowed

Updated this week

At Peerspace, we're all about bringing creative visions to life in unique spaces. To keep our community safe and ensure everyone has a great experience, we've put together some guidelines on what types of activities or bookings are not suitable for the Peerspace platform.

These guidelines help protect our hosts' spaces, keep events running smoothly, and maintain the welcoming community we've built together. While this isn't a complete list of every scenario, it covers the most important considerations for planning your event.

Activities We Don't Allow

Anything Illegal

All events must follow local, state, and federal laws – this includes underage alcohol consumption. We trust our community to know what's legal in their area and plan accordingly.

Drug-Related Events

Bookings must not include federally illegal drug use.

Events That Put People at Risk

We care about everyone's safety, especially vulnerable groups:

  • Kids' events without proper adult supervision

  • Activities that could harm animals

  • Anything that takes advantage of local communities or creates unsafe situations

Adult Entertainment

While we support creative expression, we don't allow sex work or similar activities at our venues.

High-Risk Activities

It’s extremely important that you accurately describe your booking to your hosts. We have a zero tolerance for misrepresentation of your booking details as outlined here, and we don’t support bookings where:

  • The attendee count exceeds a venue's capacity or safety limits

  • Involve weapons or dangerous materials (including fireworks)

  • The activities are likely to damage a space or property

  • Medical procedures are being performed (leave those to proper medical facilities!)

When in doubt, please reach out to your host or our support team. We're here to help make your event vision come to life in the perfect space.
