Does Peerspace offer insurance?

Host safety and support is incredibly important to us. That’s why Peerspace provides insurance custom built for short-term use so that hosts receive unprecedented protection when they invite others into their space. This coverage is automatically included on every booking made on Peerspace up to $1,000,000 in the event of injury or property damage liability. We created this policy so that hosts and guests can feel secure knowing that coverage exists in qualifying circumstances. More info.

Hosts and guests should ensure that they have their own insurance in place prior to using Peerspace. The Peerspace Concierge Team can help guests obtain short-term event insurance for their booking upon request.

Peerspace reserves the right to charge guests for damages to space documented by the host and reported to us within 3 days of the booking. Hosts can also require a day-of security/damage deposit in the form of a check or credit card authorization that the guest would provide in person at the start of the booking. This requirement must be detailed in the Host Rules section of the listing and is not regulated by Peerspace.

For more information on other ways to cover yourself as a host, check out our Peerspace Host Insurance page and our support articles on damages and security deposits.
