The host provided insurance does not cover guests for damages or in any capacity. All guests and hosts agree to our Social Event Policy for all bookings, which states (in part):
Event insurance is required for guests undertaking bookings on the Platform, as mentioned in our Social Event Policy:
Maintaining primary liability insurance is a requirement for all Hosts and Guests undertaking bookings on the Platform. This is a mandatory requirement in the US. In other jurisdictions, if a Guest is unable to obtain insurance, they are legally required to disclose this to the Host at the time of booking and discuss with the Host. It will be at the Host’s absolute discretion as to whether they accept the booking or not under these circumstances. Where a Host accepts a booking from an uninsured Guest, the Host indemnifies Peerspace against all liabilities, costs, expenses, damages, and losses (including but not limited to any direct, indirect, or consequential losses, loss of profit, loss of reputation, and all interest, penalties and legal costs (calculated on a full indemnity basis) and all other reasonable professional costs and expenses) suffered or incurred by Peerspace arising out of or in connection with a Host accepting a booking from an uninsured Guest. If required by Peerspace, Guest and/or Host shall provide proof of valid event insurance of the type and with the limits as designated by Peerspace.
Please note: failure to provide evidence of insurance as required may result in a cancellation of your booking.
