What is date based pricing?
Date based pricing lets you set a special hourly rate for specific dates, like New Year's Eve, a holiday weekend, or every Saturday in December. On those dates, your date based rate replaces your regular hourly pricing, including your base rate and any day of week rates.
It's a great way to price for high-demand dates while keeping your availability up to date on Peerspace.
How to add a date based rate
You can add date based rates on web, mobile web, or the Peerspace app.
1. Go to your listing's pricing. Go to Listings and click Edit next to the listing you want to update. Then click Edit next to Pricing.
2. Click "Add date based rate." You'll find it in the Date based pricing section, just below your hourly base rate.
3. Choose your dates. Click Select date or date range. Click each date you want, including every day in a date range. You can pick a single date, a date range, or several individual dates. Click Apply.
4. Enter your hourly rate and save. Type your hourly price in Hourly rate and click Save. Your rate will appear in the Date based pricing table.
How to change or remove a rate
To remove a rate, click the trash icon next to it in the Date based pricing table.
To change a rate, delete it with the trash icon, then click Add date based rate and set it up again with your new dates or price.
What happens if my dates overlap?
Each date can only have one date based rate. If you add a new rate that overlaps an existing one, the new rate takes over the overlapping dates and your older rate is shortened to the dates that remain.
Example: You add Dec 31–Jan 1 at $200, then add Jan 1–Jan 2 at $300. Your rates update to Dec 31: $200 and Jan 1–Jan 2: $300.
To avoid surprises, we recommend deleting the old rate before adding a new one for the same dates.
Frequently asked questions
Will my date based rate change bookings I already have?
No. Date based rates only apply to new bookings made after you save the rate.
Does my date based rate replace my base rate and day of week rates?
Yes. On the dates you choose, your date based rate is the hourly price guests see.
Will guests see my date based rate?
Yes. Guests who search or request a date with a date based rate will see that rate and be charged it.
I have more than one listing for my space. Do I need to set rates on each one?
Yes. Pricing is set for each listing (Event, Offsite, Production). Add date based rates to every listing you want them to apply to.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes. Date based pricing works on web, mobile web, and the Peerspace app.
