Q: What is buffer time?
A: Buffer time is a feature located within the calendar function which allows hosts to opt into adding an adjustable, automatic buffer before and after bookings. This is to prevent back-to-back bookings from occurring so that hosts can account for the preparation and cleaning of each booking. Prospective guests will be unable to submit a booking request within the buffer time parameters.
Q: How do I select a buffer time?
A: To opt into adding a buffer time…
- Visit your Calendar in Peerspace
- In the top right hand corner, select “Buffer time”
- You can select options to add a 30 min, 1 hour, or 2 hour buffer
- Click ‘Save’
Q: Can I select different buffer times for different spaces?
A: With buffer times being connected to individual calendars, you will be able to select different buffer times for each separate space that you may have.
Q: Can I select different buffer times for different listings?
A: Buffer times are applied at the space level, so all listings for each space will have the same buffer times.
Q: How do I delete a buffer time?
A: If you need to delete a buffer time, you can select the date in their calendar in which the edit needs to occur, then select “delete” to the right of the buffer time.
Q: What happens when I modify my buffer time for a space?
A: You can modify the buffer at any time by selecting the buffer time feature in their calendar. When modified, the new buffer time will apply to new booking requests moving forward. However, pre-existing bookings and booking requests will have the original buffer time.
