How do I block time on my calendar?

Updated over a week ago

Hosting on Peerspace allows you to manage your listing's availability flexibly while accommodating various booking preferences. Additionally, Instant Book – a feature we will cover later – simplifies the booking process but requires careful management to ensure availability aligns with your goals.

You can block dates and times on your Peerspace calendar to show guests that you are not available. To block a time…

  1. Visit your Calendar on Peerspace

  2. Select the space you’d like to edit in the dropdown menu under “Calendar”

  3. Choose the date and click “Block Time”

  4. Enter the dates and times, add a title, and then press “Save” Consider that blocking dates entirely removes availability for all guests, including those with pending inquiries or offers. If you're waiting for a guest's response, leaving your calendar open may allow others to request bookings during possible free periods.

What Is Instant Book?

Instant Book is a feature allowing guests to book your space automatically without requiring manual approval. This feature ensures a minimum lead time of 24 hours, meaning bookings made within 24 hours of the event start time require manual approval.

*The title you entered will not be visible to guests. It’s just a reminder for you.

How to Enable or Disable Instant Book

  1. Log in to your Peerspace account and go to the Listings tab.

  2. Locate the listing you want to update and click the Edit button.

  3. Select Instant Book Settings and toggle the feature on or off according to your preference. When disabled, all bookings will require manual approval before confirmation.

The time you blocked will be greyed out on your listing(s) and guests won’t be able to send a booking request for that time. You can delete a blocked time by navigating to that date in your Calendar and clicking “Delete”. That time will immediately become available for booking. Even if dates are blocked, inquiries about other times may still affect your response-related metrics. It's important to manage inquiries promptly to maintain good standing on Peerspace.
