Sometimes your guests are having such a great time that they want to stay longer! It's totally up to you whether or not to offer them more time. If you decide to extend their booking, just make sure to let them know when time is running out and how much the overtime will cost. It's always a good idea to confirm the amount with your guest to avoid any confusion.
Quick reminder: Overtime must be reported within 72 hours after the booking ends. Peerspace can’t process charges after that window.
Once the booking ends, you’ll get an email titled "Your booking with {Guest_name} is complete." To charge for overtime, simply click the “Add Overtime” button, enter the extra hours (in 30-minute increments), and set your rate. You can choose to charge the regular hourly rate (1x) or a 1.5x rate for overtime.
For example, if your space is $100/hour and your guest stays for an extra hour, you can charge either $100 (1x rate) or $150 (1.5x rate).
Once you submit the overtime charge, the guest’s card will be charged automatically. They’ll have 48 hours to dispute the charge with Peerspace, and if that happens, we’ll reach out to you directly.
Payouts are sent automatically to your bank account on file. Keep in mind that if overtime is charged separately, it may be paid out in a different transaction.
If your booking was confirmed at a variable rate or attendee rate, you can charge overtime at that same rate. However, if it was an invite-to-book situation, the available overtime rates won’t reflect the custom price. In this case, you can enter the custom rate via the “Add Other Charges” button
You can find instructions for that process here.
