Request additional charges after a booking

Updated this week

Sometimes additional costs come up after a booking has ended. If this happens, hosts can submit a charge request directly through Peerspace.

Submitting charges through the platform helps keep payments secure, ensures the request is properly documented, and keeps your booking protected with Peerspace host coverage.

Note: Additional booking charges must be reported within 72 hours after the booking end time. Peerspace cannot pursue charges past this time.

How to submit a post-booking charge

📬 Look for the completion email. After each booking ends, you'll receive an email with the subject line "Your booking with [Guest name] is complete." All charges are submitted from that email. Use the buttons inside it to get started.

When to submit a post-booking charge

If the booking ran longer than scheduled, you can charge overtime.
Learn how to charge overtime here.

You can request additional charges if a guest:

  • Uses services or equipment that were not included in the original booking (such as Add-ons)

  • Requires additional cleaning beyond normal turnover

  • Causes damage to the space, furniture, or equipment

  • Leaves the space in a condition that requires extra labor or supplies to restore

Important: These additional charges should be clearly communicated with the guest. Peerspace will use your submitted information to confirm the charges with the guest. The guest will have 48 hours to review and will then be charged. Payouts are automatically deposited into the bank account you have on file. Depending on when the charges are submitted, the payment may be issued in a separate payout.

Best practices

To help avoid disputes:

  • Communicate clearly with the guest about the charge

  • Provide photos or documentation if applicable

  • Submit the request as soon as possible after the booking
