How to Improve Your Search to View Rate

Updated today

Your Search to View rate measures how often guests click into your listing after seeing it in search results. A higher rate means your listing is catching attention and standing out from other spaces.

Your dashboard compares your rate to Power Hosts with similar spaces in your area, so you can see how you stack up.

What Guests See in Search Results

When a guest searches on Peerspace, they see three things about your listing before they click:

1. Your cover photo

2. Your listing title

3. Your hourly price

If your Search to View rate is lower than Power Hosts, one or more of these elements may need attention.

How to Improve Your Search to View Rate

1. Upgrade Your Cover Photo

Your cover photo is the single biggest factor in whether a guest clicks on your listing. Make it count. You can change your cover photo anytime from your My Listings page.

  • Use a high-resolution, well-lit image that showcases the best feature of your space.

  • Choose a wide-angle shot that gives guests a sense of the full space, not a close-up of a detail.

  • Avoid dark, cluttered, or blurry images.

  • Show the space styled and ready for use. If your space is great for events, show it set up for one.

  • Test different cover photos to see what performs best.

For detailed photo guidance, see Photo Tips and Requirements for Listings.

2. Write a Clear, Specific Title

Your title should immediately tell guests what makes your space special. Avoid generic titles like "Beautiful Space" or "Event Venue."

Instead, be specific:

  • Include the type of space (loft, studio, rooftop, gallery, etc.)

  • Mention a standout feature (natural light, skyline views, industrial charm, etc.)

  • Keep it concise and descriptive

Example: "Sun-Drenched Industrial Loft with Skyline Views" is far more clickable than "Nice Space for Rent."

3. Price Competitively

If guests see your listing priced significantly higher than similar spaces, they may scroll past without clicking. Take a look at comparable spaces in your area and make sure your pricing is in a competitive range.

  • Search for spaces similar to yours on Peerspace and compare hourly rates.

  • Consider using day-of-week or time-of-day pricing to offer lower rates during slower periods. You can set this up from your My Listings page.

  • Your price should reflect what is included in the hourly rate. Make sure photos match what guests get at the listed price.
