Hosts can use the invite-to-book feature to make things extra special for guests, like offering a non-profit discount or accommodating any unique requests. Once the guest accepts your invite, voilà! It's a confirmed booking.
Here’s how it works:
- Click “invite to book” in the message thread to the guest and create the invitation.
- The guest has seven days to review, accept or decline.
- If they accept, the booking is confirmed and the guest is charged in full, or the difference of what was already paid if their initial request was already accepted.
- If they decline or the invite expires, hosts can send another invitation as long as the booking start date and time have not passed.

To ensure a transparent booking experience, all special rates must be outlined in the About the Space section of hosts’ listings.
Hosts can also set standard variable rates for specific days of the week or times of day, such as a discounted weekday rate or weekend rate after 5 pm, or rates based on the number of attendees. These rates are automatically calculated and displayed on the listing page at checkout.
Please remember that we charge guests a processing fee on all transactions. Make sure you are familiar with our cancellation policy and payment process.
