When requesting to book your space or accepting an Invite to Book, guests are agreeing to follow the rules set up for your space, detailed under your listing’s “Host Rules” section. However, we recognize that from time to time, guests may violate these rules unfortunately. As a host, you are allowed to impose fees for rule violations. However, to do so, these fees must abide by the following guidelines:
- Fee must be clearly stated with the associated rule in your “Host Rule” section of the listing.
- Example: No smoking inside the space. $50 fee for violation. Glitter usage. $35 fee for violation.
- Note: Fee must be in Host Rule section prior to booking confirmation
- Rule Break Fees should not exceed $250
You can report any additional charge requests using the unique “Add other charges” link provided in the email sent at the booking’s conclusion (subject “Your booking with {Guest_name} is complete"). Charges must be submitted within 72 hours of the booking’s conclusion.
Please note, once reported, Peerspace may require you to supply supporting documentation of the incident occurring.
Reminder: Host Rules cannot supersede our Terms of Service. Rule break fees about basic cleaning, overtime, or additional attendees are not permitted, with the exception of guests breaking maximum capacity of the listing. Please see below articles about how to charge for overtime & setting up attendee tier pricing.
