What are add-ons?

Add-ons are optional services, equipment, or fees that hosts can offer guests to add to their booking. For example: food and beverage packages, equipment or lighting rental, and vendor services.

You can create, edit, or delete add-ons from your Add-on Inventory page.

To create a new add-on, click the + Add Item button.

To edit an existing add-on, select it from the list, make changes, and click Save Changes.

Ensure the add-on is set to "show on listing" so guests can view and select it during checkout.

Troubleshooting Add-ons

Common Issues and Resolutions

  • Add-ons Not Visible to Guests: Ensure the add-on is set to "show on listing" and has a maximum quantity greater than 0. Update these settings in the Add-ons section.

  • Guests Unable to Add Add-ons: Verify that the maximum quantity is not set to 0. Adjust this in the Add-ons section.

  • Errors During Booking Updates: Use the "Add Other Charges" button in the email sent after the booking concludes to report additional charges within 72 hours.

Add-ons are intended to allow you flexibility to sell premium booking upgrades. They are not meant to be an itemized up-charging for basic amenities. Inconsistencies here may result in refundable guest cancellations or other penalties on a host’s account. Peerspace collects a service fee on all add-ons (Service Fee Policy).

Hosts can use the email titled "Your booking with [Guest Name] is complete" to report overtime, damages, or additional charges within 72 hours of the booking’s conclusion if an add-on was used during a booking, but not prepaid for.
