What is the scheduled message feature?
Scheduled messages let you write a message in advance and choose exactly when it gets sent to your guest — so you can stay on top of communication without having to remember to hit send at the right time. Scheduled messages are a great way to make every guest feel taken care of — without adding to your to-do list!
Who can use scheduled messages?
This feature is available to hosts only. Guests won't see the option in their inbox.
How do I schedule a message?
Type your message in your inbox as you normally would. Then:
On web: Hover over the send button to reveal a "Schedule this message" option.
On the mobile app: Hold down the send button to bring up the scheduling menu.
From there, pick your preferred send time and tap Schedule message — done!
When can I schedule a message to be sent?
You can schedule messages relative to your booking time. The available options are:
30 minutes before booking begins
2 hours before booking begins
24 hours before booking begins
15 minutes before booking ends
All times are based on the time of the booking you are messaging about.
Is this available on both web and mobile?
Yes! Scheduled messages work on both the web platform and the mobile app.
Can I send a message immediately instead of scheduling it?
Absolutely! After opening the scheduling menu, you'll see a Send message now option if you'd rather send it right away.
Can I edit or delete a scheduled message after I've set it up?
Yes! Scheduled messages appear in the conversation with a dashed outline, so they're easy to spot. Just click on the message to open it, and you'll have the option to:
Edit the scheduled time or message content, then tap Update to save your changes.
Delete the message entirely by tapping Delete scheduled message.
How can I tell which messages are scheduled vs. already sent?
Scheduled (unsent) messages have a dashed border and show the scheduled date and time. If you send any other messages in the meantime, they will simply appear above the scheduled message. Once a message has been sent, it'll appear like any other message in the conversation.
Any tips for getting the most out of scheduled messages? Here are a few ideas to get you started:
Use the 24 hours before option to send guests a heads-up with helpful info like door codes, parking tips, or house rules.
Set a message for 30 minutes before the booking begins as a friendly last-minute welcome.
Schedule a check-in note for 15 minutes before booking ends to remind guests of checkout steps.
