All-Inclusive Venues Host Guide

Venues such as bars, restaurants, breweries, lounges, and full-service event spaces operate with distinct hospitality and operational requirements. This article will guide you on how to structure pricing, manage on-platform bookings seamlessly, and focus on key performance drivers so you can turn incoming inquiries into confirmed, high-value events.

How the All-Inclusive Model Works

Booking Model Options

Clear pricing creates confident guests. A food & drink minimum (sometimes called a minimum spend) is the minimum amount a guest is expected to spend on eligible food and beverages during their event.

All-inclusive listings operate on one of two booking structures:

How Your Take-Home Works

Space Rental + Minimum Spend

The space rental fee.

The full minimum spend.

Peerspace retains its flat platform fee from the space rental and pays out the rest to you. You collect the entire food & beverage balance on-site.

Minimum Spend Only

A reservation amount (which covers Peerspace's flat platform fee).

The remaining minimum spend.

Your staff credits the prepaid reservation amount onto the guest's final bill. You collect the remaining balance directly from the guest.

  • No Commission on Food & Beverage: Peerspace never takes a percentage of your food and drink sales. What your guests spend toward their food and beverage goes entirely to your venue.

  • Flat Platform Fee: Peerspace charges a single flat fee per reservation based on your booking subtotal (starting at $100 for a $500 subtotal and capped at $1,000).

General FAQ

  • Can I remove the minimum spend? If your venue requires that food or drinks be purchased exclusively in-house, a minimum spend is required to list on Peerspace. It ensures guests have full transparency around total costs before booking.

  • What counts toward the minimum spend? You define what counts in your listing rules (typically food, beverages, alcohol, and catering/bar packages). Be explicit about whether sales tax, service fees, and gratuity are included or added on top.

  • Can guests use a hosted tab or cash bar? Yes. Clarify directly in your listing and thread whether you support a single master tab, attendee-purchased cash bars that roll into the minimum, or split checks.

How to Manage All-Inclusive Bookings

Hospitality events involve customized menus, staffing, and floor arrangements. Peerspace provides built-in tools to manage these details while keeping your business protected.

  • Use the Invite-to-Book Feature: Pre-approve inquiries and provide a custom proposal tailored to the guest's requested hours, headcount, and food & drink minimums.

  • Manage Add-Ons: Utilize Add-on Inventory for standard equipment, security, dedicated bar staffing, or specialized AV setup so guests can add them transparently during checkout.

  • Handle Post-Booking Adjustments: If a guest adds hours, upsizes their bar package, or increases attendance after confirmation, use the Update Booking tool in your message thread rather than handling off-platform invoices.

  • Train Front-of-House Staff: Ensure your floor managers and point-of-sale staff understand your active booking model:

    • For Minimum Spend Only: Staff must credit the Peerspace reservation amount directly on the guest's register tab.

    • For Space Rental + Minimum Spend: The space rental is separate; staff collects the full minimum spend.

  • Protect Your Venue: All communications, booking adjustments, and payments must remain on Peerspace. Operating on-platform protects your venue with $1,000,000 General Liability Insurance, a $25,000 Property Damage Guarantee, and protected payment processing.

How to Improve Booking Performance

High-performing all-inclusive hosts drive conversions by eliminating friction and responding quickly.

🤝 Send Custom Offers Immediately

  • Don't wait to be asked: Event planners contact multiple spaces at once. If you know the date, time, and approximate guest count, send a Custom Offer with your very first reply.

  • Don't wait for perfection: If specific menu selections or headcount shift later, you can modify the reservation via Update Booking.

💬 Respond in Under 2 Hours

📅 Keep Calendar Availability Accurate

  • Sync your venue software: Connect your primary reservation software (Tripleseat, Google Calendar, Outlook) using iCal / Calendar Sync to prevent double-bookings.

  • Block soft holds and buffers: Immediately block dates held for private events, maintenance, or required turnover/cleaning buffers.

  • Pause when unavailable: If undergoing renovations or extended buyouts, use Pause Listing in your Listings tab rather than declining incoming requests.

📸 Optimize Listing Media to Reduce Site Visits

  • Upload 20+ high-quality photos showing your space fully set up for banquets, mixers, and private dining—avoid showing only empty rooms.

  • Add floor plans, layout dimensions, sample menus, and 3D walkthroughs (Matterport) to let planners self-serve layout questions before requesting in-person site visits.
